New York Public Library Elopement, Manhattan, NYC | Taran & Chad

Taran & Chad’s intimate elopement at the New York Public Library was everything we love about being an NYC wedding photographer. Just the two of them, no guests, no pressure — only emotion, beauty, and the kind of timeless style that makes photographing love stories in New York so special.

We started inside the Library, and honestly, it felt like a movie set. The grand staircases, the marble walls, the soft echoes — it’s one of those places where every corner feels like a frame from a classic film. Taran looked absolutely stunning in her dress, and Chad couldn’t take his eyes off her. We walked slowly, letting them soak in the moment, and captured portraits that were both elegant and natural. It was emotional, quiet, and deeply personal — exactly what we love about an elopement.

One of the best parts of photographing at the New York Public Library is how versatile it is. After spending time inside, we stepped outside where the white stone columns and open space gave us a totally different vibe — clean, editorial, and effortlessly cool. The city was quietly buzzing around us, but it felt like the whole world paused just for them.

This NYC wedding photoshoot reminded us why we adore intimate celebrations. You don’t need a big guest list to make your day feel epic — just the right place, the right person, and a photographer who knows how to find the light and the feeling.

If you’re thinking about planning a New York elopement, the New York Public Library is a dream. We’d go back in a heartbeat.
